LODA ArtWalk: Saenger Theatre’s Room 1927

SMG MOBILE is proud to present “Artistic Possibilities” Exhibition for Mobile Arc.

Please join us in Saenger Theatre’s Room 1927 during LoDa Art Walk on November 10th and December 8th to learn more about Mobile Arc, a non-profit for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The artwork was created by the talented art program participants. Some local artists have also collaborated with participants. Art activities help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to socialize and express themselves. Mobile Arc provides art instruction in painting, drawing, and ceramics. Artwork will be for sale to support this vital program. www.mobilearc.org.

During LODA’s Artwalk (second Friday of every month) Room 1927 will be open for the community.  Our resident artist, Riley Brenes, curated the space with artists that have contributed to arts education. LODA ArtWalk is a free community event held from 6 to 9 PM in downtown Mobile that features artists at different venues.  Room 1927 is located at 6 South Joachim Street between the lobby entrance and box office. *Open for LODA ArtWalk, unless the room is contracted for another event.

Various Mobile County youth programs will display selected works from their Arts Education Program. Participating programs are the Mobile Arts Council, Alabama Contemporary Art Center, Strickland Youth Center, Mobile Housing Board and the Boys & Girls Clubs Of South Alabama.
